Kim (Loisel) Eggborn

Kim is the Coordinator for Elementary Social Studies in HCPSS. She has been a passionate supporter of the SCH over the past 20 years and has presented both nationally and internationally about the benefits of this program.  One of her favorite things about the SCH is the relationships which are fostered as a result of this program between the students and their peers, parents, community, and government.

Susan Lee

Susan_Lee@hcpss.org

Susan Lee has been the Simulated Congressional Hearing (SCH) representative at Fulton Elementary school for the past 4 years. She earned my degree in American Studies and spent two summers helping to develop the 5th grade social studies curriculum. She is passionate about teaching social studies and loves getting kids excited about learning about our government and history!

Kathleen Powell

Kathleen_Powell@hcpss.org

SCH holds a special place in Kathleen's heart, as she has experienced it both as a teacher and as a student. During her undergraduate studies, she pursued a history minor, which fostered her immediate connection with teaching Social Studies and provided her the opportunity to confidently guide students on their SCH journey. This marks her fifth year as an SCH representative, and she is excited to facilitate this event at other schools within HCPSS.

Corinne Gorzo

Corinne_Gorzo@hcpss.org

.Corinne Gorzo supported the development and growth of the SCH program when serving as Elementary Social Studies Coordinator for HCPSS beginning in the 2003-2004 school year. She credits the hard work of resource teachers at the time, John Krownapple and Kim Eggborn with their hard work and dedication to the success of the program.

Beth Rosas

Beth_Rosas@hcpss.org

Beth has taught in HCPSS for over twenty years and has taught both secondary and elementary curriculums.  As a fifth-grade team leader, Beth loves the SCH process and helping her students to accomplish this major milestone in their fifth-grade year. For the last three summers Beth has enjoyed being a member of the fifth grade Social Studies Curriculum Writing team.

Katrina Kearney-Hill

Katrina_Kearney-Hill@hcpss.org

Katrina has participated in the HCPSS SCH Mentor Cadre by helping fellow colleagues with SCH, leading SCH Kick-offs and Judge Trainings as well as finding articles and resources to support the curriculum. More than anything she feels a part of the "we" in We the People and is able to help students better understand their role as citizens.
